Such talent!

The Second Annual Parker Talent Show was on Friday. Sarah Biondello did a great job organizing the performance. Gabe and Jonah were funny masters of ceremony. Much talent of every description was in evidence - musicians, dancers, and actors were superb. And I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!

Spring things

What a transformation to a green world after one week away from school! The warm weather has signaled spring and all that means - mainly that there are only about 7 more weeks left in the school year!

Project night is coming up. Here are some highlights:

  • Pre K slide show and art exhibit
  • K-1 Bird eggs research, bird puppet skit, and weaving
  • 2-3 Hudson River history book and water pollution demonstration
  • 4-5 Greek plays and giant math board game
  • 6-7 Medieval castles; ancient Greece and Rome essays; invertebrate posters; math project displays
  • 8 Astronomy presentations; thesis presentations; presidents timeline; algebra games
I can't wait!

Appreciation

The Faculty Staff Appreciation Luncheon was a fantastical feast! Thank you parents for pampering us ~ I am still full!

It's warm out today!

Everybody is outside - 2-3 Spanish class, first grade math, and the video yearbook crew.

Spaghetti dinner

Seventh graders helped at a spaghetti dinner in Troy on Saturday night that raised funds for five social service organizations. They worked hard and made a real difference! Thanks to the Moms, Dads, and teachers who were there, too.

2-3's delivered 157 food items to the food pantry at Catholic Charities last week and helped to stock shelves. There is also a need for personal items, so they will organize another drive this spring.

Spring Sing

What a great way to usher in Spring! Afterwards, some quiet reading...
